The saltwater crocodile

Although the saltwater crocodile itself is not considered endangered, it is symbolic of the many crocodile species that are threatened or endangered on the IUCN Red List. At the very end of the spectrum are the Chinese and Philippine crocodiles. The Philippine crocodile is the most endangered crocodile in the world, with fewer than 100 adults left in the wild.

There is no single cause for the decline in crocodile populations worldwide, but common factors include habitat destruction, hunting for skins for luxury items, hunting for meat, adverse human intervention and competition between species in the same habitat.

As the largest species of crocodile, the saltwater crocodile can grow up to 7 meters long. Its impressive power and massive size are extraordinary. We prefer to present its beauty in the form of a polished bronze sculpture that captures its majestic appearance.
